DESCRIPTION:A semi-legendary\, workshop-based HEMA gathering in Slovenia (est. 2012). \nAfter 5 years long hiatus\, the legendary Slovenian international HEMA event returns from 21st to 22nd of September\, 2024.\nWe are ecstatic to once more invite our old (and future) friends for two days of glorious HEMA\, just as the old masters intended… And better! There will be great workshops\, there will be great company\, there will be fun and there will be glory.\nThe event features both guest and local instructors for a wide array of weapons\, various styles and all skill levels. There is also a designated sparring space for testing out the newly acquired knowledge. \nWeapons (among others): sabre\, longsword\, rapier\, sidesword \nJoin us for two days of HEMA revelry!

Wir haben den Schwabenhau um ein Spiel ergänzt und laden euch ein\, mit uns zu spielen: \nWählt einen der Vier Wege am Anfang des Events* und sammelt Punkte\, indem ihr kleine Aufgaben löst. Wer es schafft\, seinen Weg bis zum Ende des Events abzuschließen\, bekommt eine Belohnung! \nSeid dabei! Die Anmeldung startet am 13. Juli um 18 Uhr!

DESCRIPTION:The first leg of Wessex 2024 will take place in Oxford\, hosted by The School of the Sword Oxford. This is the largest of all three Wessex League events\, so it’s perfect for international fencers. \nThe Wessex League is a series of tournaments aimed at all HEMA practitioners that want to experience competition for the first time or to step up their game. It has the format of international HEMA competition while remaining accessible and friendly. You can start competing or increase your experience. \nWe will be running 9 competitions (4 Open\, 2 women’s+ & 2 beginners)\nOpen Longsword A & B\nOpen Rapier & Dagger\nOpen Sabre\nOpen Sword & Buckler\nWomen’s+ Longsword\nWomen’s+ Rapier & Dagger\nBeginners’ Longsword\nBeginners’ Rapier & Dagger \nThe beginners and women’s tournaments run alongside each other with opposite weapons\, and you cannot compete in two events running at the same time\, so please take care when booking not to choose the two that clash.
